We have received several inquiries regarding player fees and parking fees at Lemon Lake. Players will be allowed access to Lemon Lake County Park beginning Monday, April 30th through Sunday, May 6th at no additional daily cost to the player. We will work with our park staff to provide a player list so that players will receive their park pass when they first enter the park that week. If the player does not enter the park until the day of the tournament, their player pass may be picked up at the registration table at the Lake County Fairgrounds before the player’s meeting 12PM to 6PM on May 3rd with their player pack.

History of the Tim Selinske United States Masters Disc Golf Championship

Welcome to the 2018 PDGA Tim Selinske United States Masters Disc Golf Championship.  This is the premiere disc golf event for players ages 40 and up.  The disc golf community is proud to continue the tradition of

The United States Masters Disc Golf Championship is named after Tim Selinske, a founding partner of INNOVA Discs and PDGA Hall of Fame Member.  Tim was the creator of the US Masters Disc Golf Championships and the original Tournament Director.  Tim passed away in August 2009 after a brave battle with a rare illness.

In 2000, Tim hosted the first USMDGC which was held at Whittier Narrows Disc Golf Course in Southern California.  This event was won by David Greenwell.  In 2004, the event was moved to La Mirada Regional Park in California.  US Masters players were treated to rounds on the fabled "Golden State Layout".  Hosting the event on this famous championship caliber course added yet another level of prestige to this PDGA Major Event.

While Tim created the US Masters as a disc golf competition to honor age protected players, Tim wanted this event to be about celebrating sportsmanship and having fun!  Tim continued to host the annual event until his death in August 2009.  The 2009 US Masters was hosted in the weeks following Tim's passing.  Event through his illness, Tim was still working to host this annual event.  To honor his memory, the event was renamed The Tim Selinske US Masters Disc Golf Championship.  Having a PDGA Major named after Tim Selinske is a true testament to his efforts in creating this event as well as honoring his lifetime of contributions to the sport of disc golf.

In 2010 the Tim Selinske USDGC traveled to the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, GA.  This marked the start of several new traditions for the annual PDGA Major Event.  This was the first time the event was held outside of the state of California.  This same year a perpetual trophy was created which includes the names of all the US Masters Champions since the year 2000.  The event now travels across the United States each year to be hosted by different cities and clubs.  The PDGA selects host cities through the PDGA Major Bidding Process.

Please remember that Tim would have personally wanted each and every player and volunteer to have fun and celebrate disc golf!
